The Village has a carefully selected, well-trained staff to provide day-to-day assistance, while encouraging and nurturing each resident’s independence and self-respect.

The help provided includes:

• Supportive, caring staff with a licensed nurse and caregivers available 24 hours a day
• Medical alert pendants and emergency call system in each apartment
• Medication management and assistance/administration by a licensed nurse, including injections and diabetic management
• Assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assistance with toileting and incontinence management
• Assistance with ostomy and catheter care and application of anti-embolism hose
• One-person transfer assistance
• Expert, compassionate short-term care following hospitalization and rehab
• Weekly housekeeping and laundering of linens and personal clothing
• Three nutritious, chef-prepared, "order off the menu" meals per day, plus daily snacks
• Accommodation of special diet requests
• Staff joining residents for meals and activities
• Scheduled transportation to local medical offices, stores, and community services
• Personalized transportation within a 60-mile round trip

Memory Care at The Village is a self-contained 'neighborhood' on the 2nd floor consisting of 30 private studio apartments, dining rooms, activity spaces, and a private garden. The neighborhood is secure, with every element specially designed for residents with Alzheimers or other dementias. Using details from his or her life, we capture a lasting legacy pf reminiscensce: family, friends, career, hobbies, likes and dislikes. While memories fade, past relationships and experiences continue to shape your loved one's life. We use the insights gained from each life story to develop person-centered activities and programming for each resident.
