Jolynn Whitten

Executive Director
When people ask Jolynn why she works in senior care, she tells them that it was because of her grandparents. They gave her a great appreciation for her elders and from high school on, she knew that she wanted to be an administrator in long-term care and dedicate her career to seniors. She graduated from York Catholic High School and went on to Marywood College in Scranton, Pennsylvania. There she worked towards her Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Services Administration, with a minor in Sociology. Jolynn graduated Summa Cum Laude and began the search for a graduate school. Life took Jolynn to Baltimore, Maryland where she decided to attend Johns Hopkins University to obtain a Master’s degree in Health Finance and Management. During her second year at Hopkins, she also took part in a 12-month internship at Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital. This allowed her to complete the State of Maryland’s Administrator in Training (AIT) program as well during that time frame. In 1998, she received both her Master’s degree and her Maryland Nursing Home Administrator’s License. Over the next seven years, she held positions as Assistant Administrator, Administrator, and Executive Director in both skilled nursing and assisted living communities in the Baltimore area. In 2005, she joined Life Care Services and Vantage House in Columbia, Maryland, as Health Center Administrator. She was promoted to Associate Executive Director at Vantage House in 2007 and then to Executive Director at Sandhill Cove in Palm City, Florida in 2008 until 2018 when she ventured to Keene, NH, to facilitate the start-up of Hillside Village Keene. She moved again with LCS- this time to Wilmington, NC, where she served as the Executive Director at Porters Neck Village until July 2023. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to return to New England. She is both honored and delighted to be serving as The Village’s Executive Director. On a personal note, Jolynn has been married for almost 15 years to her husband Bill, who is working very hard writing his third novel. Their favorite pastime is traveling, both locally and around the globe.

ashley-st-pierre

Ashley St. Pierre

Business Office Manager
I came to The Village with 10+ years of experience working in the senior living industry. I was drawn to this field in high school but went on to pursue a career as a licensed cosmetologist in the state of Massachusetts, where I resided for 16 years. I quickly realized that my career in cosmetology was not fulfilling, and an opportunity presented itself for me to get my foot in the door at an assisted living community as a dining room server. I worked my way through many roles including Dining Room Manager, Activities Director, Memory Care Director and Business Office Manager, as well as picking up many various skills along the way. I love getting to spend time with the residents, hearing their life stories and connecting them to what matters most to them. I am equally passionate about providing a great workspace for all of the wonderful associates who support the residents day in and day out. After working through the pandemic, I decided it was time to come back home to Vermont where I was born and raised. In my free time I love spending time with family, baking, reading and rediscovering the laid-back atmosphere of Vermont.
