4240 Architecture
Understanding that the physical structure of The Village plays a critical role in the lives to be led within, Gates and Dickson recruited leading architect Louis Bieker of Denver-based 4240 Architecture to create the living space. His firm specializes in innovative, culturally sensitive, site-specific designs, including mixed-use urban infill, multi-family residential, commercial office, active senior living, higher education, resort and hospitality. Mr. Bieker’s experience ranges from museums to transit projects, from higher education facilities to mountain-resort planning and design, and his clients include Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, and St. Regis properties. Engaging 4240 Architecture ensured that The Village would not be a boxy, one-size-fits-all building, but rather a dynamic, active space that encourages community and blends with the neighborhood for maximal interaction.
dpf Design Studio
Designer Denise Welch-May, a studio artist and fabric designer, co-founded dpf Design Studio, a full-service interior design firm, based on her love of material-driven artistic process and captivating interplay of color, surface, and space. The company, whose work includes the four-star Twin Farms Resort & Spa, the elegant Woodstock (VT) Inn and Resort, and the four-and-a-half-star Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, VT, was chosen to provide custom interior design because of their ability to combine comfort, elegance, and consonance with the building’s surroundings. They create a custom-crafted interior experience for senior residents that is elegant, dynamic, and engaging.
