A Message From Your Executive Director
Dear Residents and Families,
This week we will distribute our Resident Satisfaction Survey to residents in Assisted Living and to the responsible party for our Memory Care folks. I really appreciate you taking the time to let us know what we are doing well and what we can work to improve upon. All surveys will be anonymous and will go directly to the survey organization in sealed envelopes.
Be sure to check out our photos below. Last week, in the spirit of the Kind Boys, our resident Bill received an anonymous gift from another resident as a gesture of thanks and friendship. The kindness keeps being passed around!
Going forward we will publish this newsletter every 2 weeks instead of weekly. The weekly distribution was so important during the height of COVID but thankfully now there is less to report each week. We will still include the activity calendar and the upcoming menus as we always have. The newsletter may be bi-weekly but we are still here for any questions you may have.
Thank you for your continued support and enjoy this beautiful weather.
Nikki
Community Connection
Last week at The Village residents enjoyed daily fitness, daily movies, live music with Jim Hollis, trivia, and mini golf on Cantore Terrace. On Tuesday, International Museum Day, we took a trip to the Vermont Toy Museum and Vermont Antique Mall in Quechee where residents had a chance to learn about local history and even play a few arcade games! On Wednesday we enjoyed a nice walk to Ava’s Candy Corner for ice cream, and on Thursday a lunch outing at Tuckerbox Cafe.
This week residents can look forward to daily movies and documentaries, trivia, Happy Hour on Tuesday and Friday, and our weekly lunch discussion group in Windsor Dining Room. On Tuesday we will take a shopping trip to Walmart at 10:30am and an outing to Vermont Institute of Natural Science at 1:15pm. On Thursday we will take a trip to Silver Lake in Barnard, Vermont for a picnic lunch at 11:30am. If you’re interested in attending any of the outings, please sign up with the concierge.
NOTE: As always, Skype calls are available to keep everyone connected. To schedule, please sign up at https://teamup.com/kszegtj8g4jco615xw and reach out to Sam with any questions.
Community Connection – Vaccines
Our pharmacy has resumed distribution of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
We understand that you may have questions about this process as well as the vaccines themselves, for that reason we are sharing below the links to the CDC and Johnson & Johnson websites to help answer some of your inquiries.
