In these challenging times, we are committed to keeping you informed of how COVID-19 is impacting The Village at White River Junction, and the measures we are taking to keep the community safe. We continue our robust commitment to following guidelines from both the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and local health authorities.
Vaccination
Vaccines are offered to all residents and staff at The Village, and the first cycle is underway as of January 15, 2021. We supply the Pfizer vaccine, administered by The Village’s pharmacy partner, HealthDirect.

Testing
Despite our vaccination program, testing is still critical to ensuring the safety of the community. We test all staff weekly and are pleased to report that there are no current cases of COVID among either residents or staff.
Standard Safety Precautions
We are observing the following protocols:
- Requiring all staff to wear surgical or procedural masks and adhere to screening processes
- Maintaining the frequency and rigor of cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces
- No visitors are permitted unless compassionate care is deemed necessary
- Reviewing our emergency preparedness and response program
- Asking residents and employees to adhere to the State of Vermont travel restrictions
- Coordinating best practices across our large partner network
- Small, socially-distanced group activities are permitted at this time
