This week we shared a number of memorable moments with
residents and staff. From day time drives to a BBQ on the fifth floor
terrace we saw glimpses of normalcy.

Chef Adam and team grilled up hot dogs, hamburgers and
veggies for all to enjoy on Cantore Terrace. Our team members had a chance to share in conversation with residents as we all enjoyed the beautiful weather...

It was a delight to send Friday’s email letting families know that they are now able to come visit with residents in their apartments. We look very forward to seeing all the familiar faces we’ve missed over these past months. Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions or clarification on the process.

Just a reminder, please call us a minimum of one-hour before you plan to visit...

I always enjoy my weekends as Manager on Duty at The Village. This past weekend was no different as I spent time acclimating a new resident into the community. The opportunity to have this one on one time is very special to each new member of our Village family. Additionally, I spent time in the memory care neighborhood. We had a lot of laughs while bowling and Fred was named “The Champion of the World”. We also shared an ice cream party which was enjoyed by all....

Thanks to our community continuing to be COVID-19 free and the Governor starting to allow more activities to resume, life at The Village has been improving for all. The health care team, led by Director of Health Care Services, Danielle Yoder, has been working hard for these past months to keep residents safe and healthy, so this week I’ve asked her to provide an update below. We are also focusing our survey and weekly Talk Time on health at The Village.

It is expected that the Governor will announce....

I hope you all enjoyed the holiday weekend celebrating the 4th of July. Celebrations this year were likely different from past ones, so here at The Village we focused on supporting each other and seeing the good in all citizens of the ‘great American experiment.”

Our community is coming together again and we are joyful with the return of meals in the Windsor Dining Room. Residents and family members have been wonderfully caring of each other through supportive conversation and personal notes....

Welcome to our newly designed newsletter – we hope you like it. Nothing makes me happier than to report that The Village continues to be COVID-free. I recognize that the restrictions we continue to abide by can feel challenging, but all the hard work of residents, families and our staff have really paid off. We are looking forward to being able to resume more normal social and family interactions.

We continue to follow the Governor’s orders and guidance from the C.D.C...
